About Us

The Capital City LLEN (City LLEN) is located in the heart of Melbourne. The City LLEN aims to form strategic, collaborative partnerships within the City of Melbourne aimed at enhancing the retention, participation and re-engagement of at risk young people, aged 10 - 19 into education, training and employment.

We are a not for profit incorporated association and commenced in 2002.

The City LLEN is one of 31 LLENs in Victoria and since 2010 is responsible for delivering the Australian government’s Partnership Broker program. We do this through the brokerage of partnerships between the following stakeholder groups and in response to information in our Environmental Scan to identify the best and most appropriate strategies:

• Education and Training providers
• Business and Industry
• Community Organisations, and
• Parents and Families.

The LLEN governed by a voluntary board representing members of the City LLEN who live or work in the City of Melbourne and share an interest in achieving the best possible outcomes for all our young people.
