Our mission
- To bring together the expertise and experience of local education and training providers, community and government organisations (including the City of Melbourne), and local youth service providers to foster cooperation and sustainable partnerships.
- To engage all young people in the City of Melbourne, including the homeless, the at risk of homelessness and other at-risk young people, to ensure they achieve stability in their lives and find the path to their education, training or employment goals.
- To support education, training and youth community service providers, including employment service providers, to best assist their young people make positive life choices.
- To identify gaps in service delivery for disengaged young people and facilitate initiatives for local planning to improve access to education and training initiatives.
- To support and advise the Victorian Skills Commission (VLESC), the Victorian Government’s peak advisory body on education, training and employment, on the needs of young people.
